This Is The 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 Carbon Edition
While we think GMC already has a great looking truck in the 2015 Sierra 1500, Big Red has decided to take it to another level with a new,
distinctive Carbon Edition styling package available this fall. And, no, it
doesn’t add lightness. But this new black-out appearance package is sure to
have lovers and haters with its head-turning new looks. The announcement comes
shortly after Chevrolet previewed the 2015
Silverado 1500 Rally Edition.
GMC says the new 2015 Sierra Carbon
Edition will be offered in three different versions to allow customers more
choices. The three editions will include:
§ Sierra Carbon 22 Edition – offered
on both Sierra SLE double and crew-cab trucks. This package will include two
carbon fiber appearance graphics in the hood while another on the tailgate.
Also, there will be a black-painted grille and body-matched door handles and
mirror caps. The exterior will be further upgraded with: four-inch black
tubular side assist steps, unique 22-inch black alloy wheels, fog lamps. It
will also have remote keyless start, Universal Home Remote, a 110-volt power
outlet and dual-zone climate controls.
§ Sierra Carbon 20 Edition – offered only on the Sierra SLE double cab uses the same grille
and graphics, but rides on 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels.
§ Standard Sierra Carbon Edition – this package will have all the graphics and will simply ride on
the standard wheels (17 or 18).
Each of these packages are available on
2WD or 4WD models and pricing reflects the standard 4.3L EcoTec3 V6 engines
(the 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 is optional).
The blacked out look of these new
trucks is sure to grab a lot attention and pretty much follows what the
aftermarket and buyers have been doing lately. While, obviously, GMC doesn’t
offer the badge blacked-out, many new owners could make that a priority.
