Get behind the wheel and you’re in for a treat – Cruze Clean Turbo Diesel gives you a truly spirited drive. The progressive engineering behind the Cruze Diesel makes going from 0-96 km/h in 8.6 seconds2 easy. The new 2.0L turbo-diesel engine produces a SAE-certified 151 horsepower and 264 lb.-ft of torque– that’s even more than the Volkswagen Jetta TDI. On top of that, the overboost function provides up to 280 lb.-ft of torque for a span of about 10 seconds, and gives that pushed-back-in-your-seat thrill that will make you take notice. And, it reaches peak torque at just 2,000 rpm and sustains a broad power band beyond that – just what you need when you’re passing or entering a freeway on-ramp.

We took the attractive benefits of diesel power and gave them a makeover. Clean diesels generate a minimum of 90% less Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) and particulate emissions than the diesels that have come before them. We put the 2014 Cruze Clean Turbo Diesel engine through rigorous tests under extreme conditions – up to -40 degrees Celsius – to ensure that no matter what you face on the road, the Cruze engine is one thing you can depend on.
